Sweet Casady is a visually striking, elongated plum tomato, easily recognized by its vivid red-and-golden-yellow striping and known for its rich, sweet flavour. This unique heirloom variety was bred by acclaimed tomato breeder Tom Wagner, creator of many beloved open-pollinated tomato types.
Originally developed from parent lines like Casady’s Folly and Green Grape, Sweet Casady offers a perfect balance of beauty, productivity, and garden reliability. Its sweet taste and distinctive look make it a favorite for both fresh snacking and homemade sauces or paste.

Planting Tips:
Plant seedlings a little deeper than the base of their stems to encourage strong root development and overall plant stability. Support plants with stakes or cages as they grow, and ensure they are placed in a full sun location for best results.
💧 Water consistently at the base of the plant — avoid wetting leaves to reduce the risk of fungal diseases. Do not let the soil dry out during flowering and fruiting.
