These seeds are treated with Thiram, a fungicide designed to protect against fungal diseases during germination. Do not ingest the seeds or feed them to animals. Always store out of reach of children and pets.
When handling these treated seeds, wear gloves and wash any exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water afterward. The Thiram treatment does not impact the crop’s edibility or harm beneficial insects like bees. These seeds are for propagation only and are not for direct consumption. Rest assured, the resultant carrots are entirely safe to eat.
In accordance with Australian Quarantine and Biosecurity (AQIS) regulations, the use of fungicide treatments, such as Thiram, may be required for certain seed varieties. Treated seeds may be dyed a distinctive colour to indicate their treatment. Always read the seed packet’s label for handling and safety instructions.
