European style, large heirloom tomato which, like all heirloom varieties, are more flavoursome than their hybrid counterparts. Plant seedlings a bit deeper than normal to provide stability and help anchor the plants. Grows 5 to 8 feet tall at maturity so stake well and provide suitable support for optimum results. Heirloom tomatoes require ample air circulation to make them less susceptible to disease, thus the wider planting requirements. They are heavy feeders requiring a low nitrogen liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks. High yielding with fruit for many months. Looks like it could frighten a bull terrier, but packed full of flavour!
