Helping Australia Grow—Together
Being a QPS Growth Partner means becoming part of something bigger than just gardening—it's about reconnecting Australians with the land, with food, and with each other. It's about giving every person—from toddlers to retirees—the tools, the knowledge, and the inspiration to grow their own nourishment, no matter where they live or what their starting point is.
We make it easier for everyone to get involved—from home-delivered seedlings ready to plant straight from the box, to reusing and upcycling discarded containers like old buckets, foam boxes, and milk crates as veggie beds. Because growing your own food doesn’t need to cost the earth—it just needs heart, a little sunshine, and the right guidance.
Through our educational videos, real interviews, and hands-on examples from everyday Australians, we unpack how the food chain works—and how you can take back control by growing your own. In a world of rising grocery prices and ultra-processed foods, even a simple punnet of lettuce or silverbeet can become a small act of independence.
🌾 Did You Know?
-
Australia is home to over 3,000 commercial vegetable farms—but more people are growing at home than ever before.
-
Broccoli contains more protein per calorie than steak—and it’s just a flower that hasn’t bloomed yet.
-
Silverbeet is high in iron and calcium, but it’s best eaten cooked, as raw leaves can contain oxalates which can block calcium absorption.
-
Zucchinis produce best when picked small—larger ones may look impressive but often have fewer nutrients and a bitter taste.
-
And yes, carrots really were purple before the Dutch bred the orange ones to honour their royal family!
Growing your own vegetables isn’t just about nutrition—it’s about mental health, reducing food waste, teaching kids life skills, and creating a sense of pride. Studies have shown that people who grow even just a few of their own herbs or greens eat more vegetables overall—and waste less.
At QPS, we believe every home, every classroom, and every community should feel the joy of growing. And with the help of our Growth Partners, we're bringing fresh food and lifelong knowledge to doorsteps, schoolyards, and neighbourhoods across the country.
Together, we’re not just growing plants—we’re growing a future that’s more connected, more sustainable, and more Australian than ever.
