Washingtonia robusta, commonly known as the Mexican fan palm or skyduster, is a native palm tree found in the Baja California peninsula and a small part of Sonora in northwestern Mexico.

Soil:
🏡 Plant the Washingtonia robusta seedling in well-draining soil. A mix of garden soil and perlite or sand works well. Make sure the soil pH is around 6.0 to 7.5.

Sunlight: ☀️ These palm trees thrive in full sunlight. Provide at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day for optimal growth. Place the seedlings in a location with plenty of natural light.

Watering: 💧 Water the seedling regularly but allow the soil to dry out slightly between watering. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the soil is moist but not waterlogged. Adjust the frequency based on weather conditions and the moisture level of the soil.

Temperature: 🌡️ Washingtonia robusta prefers warm temperatures. Keep the seedling in an environment where temperatures range between 18°C to 29°C. Protect the plant from frost, as it is sensitive to cold temperatures.

Fertilization: 🌱 Feed the seedling with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season (spring and summer). Follow the package instructions for the proper dilution and application frequency. Avoid over-fertilizing, as it can harm the plant.

Pruning: ✂️ Remove any yellow or dead fronds regularly. This helps to maintain the plant's overall health and appearance. Be cautious not to remove green, healthy fronds, as they contribute to the palm's growth.

Pest Control: 🐛 Keep an eye out for pests such as spider mites or scale insects. If you notice any infestation, treat the palm with insecticidal soap or neem oil, following the product instructions.

Repotting: 🌿 As the Washingtonia robusta seedling grows, you may need to repot it into a larger container. Use fresh, well-draining soil during the repotting process.

Support: 🌴 Provide support for the young seedling if needed, especially in windy conditions. Staking can help prevent damage to the developing roots and trunk.

Patience: ⌛ Washingtonia robusta grows slowly initially but can become quite tall over time. Be patient and consistent in your care, and you'll enjoy a beautiful and majestic palm tree.

Remember to observe your specific plant's needs and adjust care accordingly. Each environment may have unique conditions that affect the growth of your Washingtonia robusta seedlings. 🌿
